SECT GAMES 2025
4th Annual Games Recap | April 26th, 2025
Another year, and we're not dead yet.
Under crisp spring skies, the 4th Annual Sect Games came alive. Our strongest showing and best yet—part grit, part grind, and a dash of chaos—it was a full-tilt test of intensity, heart, and teamwork.
We kicked off with weigh-ins to keep it honest, followed by a pre-game huddle with refs and managers to align expectations. Then the gauntlet dropped:

Event 1: "Pick Your Poison"
A raw display of power and strategy. Each team assigned members to one of the following lifts: 1RM Bench Press, 1RM Front Squat, 1RM Back Squat, and a brutal 2-minute max-rep Kettlebell Clean and Press. Your placement? Determined by your team total divided by your team weight. Heavy hitters rose. Weak links got exposed.

Event 2: "Test Your Fate"
Welcome to the red zone. Six rounds of five-minute intervals (with one minute of rest) tested conditioning and composure. Max calories on the rower and bodyweight movements were dictated by the luck—or cruelty—of the dice.
Most people came out hot. Few stayed there.

Event 3: "The Gallows"
Where capacity met consequence. Four elimination phases. One team cut each round. It all started with Concept 2 BikeErg relays and sandbag carries. With each phase, the bike intervals shortened and the carries stretched longer.

It ended in "Death by Dice"—a one-minute Ground Over Shoulder and calorie sprint, randomized by roll.
Miss the target? You're out. Last person standing wins it for the team.

Between Events:
We threw in solo challenges like a reaction-speed BlazePod tournament and our twisted take on the Beer Mile. No room to hide. All gas, no brakes... some vomit.

Then came The Wake.
Awards. Food. Drinks. War stories. No cooldown—just earned celebration.
Massive thanks to our sponsors, who helped make this event even better:
NoBull – Title sponsor who showed up huge, outfitting every player in fresh kicks.
Gnarly Nutrition & Holy Water Coffee – Powered up the Champions Package with much needed supplements and caffeine.
Central 9th Market – Fed the whole damn squad with food that landed like a freight train after a day of destruction.
Black Koles and Jordan Pay - Documented the whole thing, it sure pays to have talented friends
To every player, manger, ref, and spectator—thank you.

You didn't just show up. You brought it. And you made it matter.
Simply put - our purpose is to provide an environment that develops and maintains the overall wellness and ability of people. The facility matters but y'all matter more in building that environment.
Cheers to pushing forward - our time is finite, but by damn, we'll make the most of it.
See you next year.
